The Six thinking Hats

Alsalamo Alikom Dear Collegues,                                  .

Please check this teaching technique you will find it very useful “The Six Thinking hats”

The term Six Thinking Hats is used to describe the tool for students’ group discussion and individual thinking. "Six Thinking Hats" provide means for students to plan thinking processes in a detailed and cohesive way, and in doing so to think together more effectively,  also it provides a framework to help students  think clearly and thoroughly by directing their thinking attention in one direction at a time.

White hat facts, Green hat creativity, Yellow hat benefits, Black hat cautions, Red hat feelings, and Blue hat process.

It's a simple mental metaphor. Hats are easy to put on and to take off. Each hat is a different color which signals the thinking ingredient. In a group setting each student thinks using the same thinking hat, at the same time, on the same thinking challenge and it is called focused parallel thinking--a tool that facilitates creativity and collaboration. It enables each student's unique point of view to be included and considered. Thinking becomes more thorough.
